Is a tantalizing twist on our classic German Ale - Berghof. It is light red in colour with the taste of delicate ripe cherries shining through. It is light in body accompanied by luscious cherry fruitiness. Sweet malt, subtle hops and lingering cherry acidity finishes this beer off.
Our inspiration for Cherry Ale
In earlier days when Cherry ales were first introduced to the market it created this huge demand for flavoured cherry beer. In our opinion, the cherry flavoured beers at that point in time was more of a syrupy, cold-drink variation, which was served over a full glass of ice -we did not enjoy this at all. That sparked us to create a beer that is unmistakably cherry, but that tastes, drinks and pours like a beer.
